 Today you will take a practice MC test. First we will finish the essay from yesterday.

HW for break read to page 364, the chapter entitled "1965".

Tuesday

 Today we will be looking at "Strange Fruit" and "Blame it on the Blues" on page 91. Tomorrow we will be taking a MC test. Homework read next chapter in Malcolm X.

Monday

 Today we will be discussing Malcolm X and looking at "Blame it on the Blues" on page 91.

 

Friday

 Please use the entire class to work on essays. We will discuss Malcolm X on Monday.

Thursday

 Today, we will discuss Malcolm X and work on the synthesis essay.

Wednesday

 Today we will look at the synthesis prompt and begin to outline and write it.

Tuesday

 Today we will discuss chapter 7 and then look at a synthesis essay prompt and do in-class writing.

HW: Finish essay, read chapter 8.

Monday

 Today we need to discuss chapter 6 and read "The Ballot or the Bullet". I will also give you a few minutes at the beginning of the class to work on journals. You will have a practice MC Test and Essay during the day of your final.

Thursday

 Today, we need to discuss chapter 4 of Malcolm X. We will then first the interview with Noam Chomsky.
